Start the day with a big glass of Sunburst Wake-up Juice loaded with essential nutrients to hydrate you after your sleep & get you ready for the day.
First, start with an orange, I used cara-cara oranges for this juice but blood oranges would be wonderful or just regular old oranges, whatever you can find. Then some brightly colored sweet peppers, fresh strawberries & carrots.
Most of us don’t eat, or drink, enough vegetables. Juicing is one way to get a whollop of nutrients. I’d not consume an orange, 12 strawberries 4 or 5 carrots & a couple of peppers in one sitting but I can easily get their nutrients by juicing them.
And because you don’t have the fiber to contend with, the nutrients are absorbed into your system more easily. I eat lots of fiber so I’m not worried about not getting it when I juice. I bough this exact juicer online over eight years ago & it’s still going strong. I paid more than double what it is now. Breville also make some great juicers that won’t break the bank.
I don’t drink juice for the enjoyment factor. I drink it for the nutrients. I’m working on being more consistent in replacing one of my meals a day with a freshly extracted juice. Usually it’s not as pretty as this, or tastes as nice. Just by replacing one of your meals a day with fresh vegetable juice (or a mix of veggies & fruit – 80-20% is best), you can aid in weight loss & overall well being. Now, I just have to work on my consistency. Until next time, juice on. xo
