Are you a cooler weather fan or do you prefer the summer months? For me it’s cooler weather all the way. Whether you like it or not, fall is coming. It’s my favorite time of year. Gone is the ungodly heat and humidity (how did I ever live in Florida?). Night stretches further into the day making it feel cozy inside. And although the change of season is still ten days away, I’m crossing the days from my calendar. Seriously. I can’t wait to start cooking warming, comforting recipes and stocking the freezer. Or seeing the ten feet tall corn harvested from around our house. I’m not looking forward to the little field mice taking refuge in our house during the cold months but it happens every year. The squirrels, who’ve led a rather lazy existence the last few months, are now very busy stealing walnuts from our big, old walnut tree, eating the butternut squash I have growing and dragging corn cobs from the fields and hiding them in my herbs; they’re very entertaining to watch. The change of seasons. I love it (apart from the mice). What do you love about the cooler weather? Take care, chat with you soon, Lovoni xo
